Examination Structure

The exam lasts two hours and forty-five minutes in total. The IELTS test evaluates your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. IELTS comes in two flavors: Educational and General Training. Speaking and Listening are the same on both exams, but Reading and Writing have different topics based on the test you take.
All IELTS exams consist of three parts: listening, reading, and writing, and they are all performed on the same day without any breaks. But you can take the Speaking test for some time before or following the other exams. Your exam center will provide guidance.
